i believe this is the artist who introduced rapping to the world...showed how one can express oneself chanting along with a riddim...i wonder if rappers of today knows this

song is Lloyd Parks AKA Lloyd Spark's "You Don't Care", a re-do of The Techniques classic "You Don't Care". U-Roy deejayed over the rhythm for his own "Natty Don't Fear" (this is not "Runaway Girl") on his "Dread Inna Babylon" LP, came out in 1975. the whole record is great, well worth getting.
"Runaway Girl" is based on Ken Boothe's "Just Another GIrl", Barrington Spence re-did it for the U-Roy LP

i tried toasting over this riddim at a karaoke club last night and got booed off the stage.
