While driving by Mare Island on Hwy 37, building 755 captured my attention and the wonder of what it was like during its heyday. Slider and dolly effect is by hand using the active steadyshot.
I'm with tramky. The US Navy gave this to Vallejo in 1996, and being the re-employment Bldg, it was probably one of the last to be vacated. Vallejo's neglect in securing it and/or re-deploying it is what allowed it to be vandalized to complete worthlessness as of today.
I mean, they could have rented it for some nominal sum with special requirements. Any business would have jumped at the chance to occupy a bldg for near-free. It would have paid for itself.
@CORYSPHOTOS I'm thinking misdemeanor, I'm 16

This is not nostalgia. It is dereliction--dereliction of buildings, dereliction by a City government. Anyone seeing this should be outraged.

Cool video. Brought back memories. I started my federal career twenty three years ago in Building#755 attending the federal police academy.
