This is a History Channel documentary of Lake Peigneur in Louisiana in 1980 after an oil rig drilled into a salt mining dome...
Gulf of Mexico - BP - Oil spill... Drilled into a large salt dome on the Deepwater Horizon Rig that burned and sank this spring 2010. Pumping mud down the shaft could have catastrophic consequences... it could have cracked the salt dome. If so, with the volcanic activity recorded in the Gulf of Mexico by the ROV live feed cameras by me and others, you can see why there is a lot of cause to have concern over a tsunami...
Just food for thought.

Well, we now know that there are seven massively huge plumes of asphalt/abiotic fluid gushing up right next to a major salt dome, in the Gulf of Mexico.
Today, 4 U.S. Military double rotor helicopters flew north along the mid Florida coastline. I've never seen them do that before. I wonder if they know something that we don't know?
If the floor of the Gulf of Mexico goes, due to the open fissures and depletion of the salt dome by the Macondo well, Florida might get sucked into the vortex!

@Wildrosestands right-e-O. Especially since most of Florida is just barely above sea level to begin with! Hmmm about the helicopters ! Today has been especially strange at the bottom of the BP ocean live feeds! Really Really Really strange!

I watched this vid earlier this year. It shocked me then, as it does now. Some weird things happen when we mess with Mother Earth, that's for sure. She's just adjusting her equilibrium, getting all snug and cosy again.

@ChristiannaGarrett1 If they cracked that salt dome down there, we're ___________'d.
