I will tell you this because it is true, and any career crimanl will tell you this, if the cops are not heavy handed, the criminals will not fear them. Something that the liberal lefties do not realise is, that if you treat a criminal with kid gloves, he will not think you are being polite as would your average member of society, he will think you are a mug, and it will encourage this person to commit crime, that is life that is just the way things are.

You are assuming that those that have been killed by the police are criminals, the British legal system has a history of miscarriages of justice (Guildford 4, Birmingham 6 the list goes on). The police's job is to apprehend suspects, they are not meant to judge and execute at will. Police need to follow the legal process and when they don't they become no better that those they claim to fight. In your mind anyone that the police come into contact with is a criminal and thats dangerous.

If you honetly believe that police officers are twisted individuals who take pleasure in hurting or killing prisoners then you are indeed a warped inividual and I would ask you how many officers you actually know? These people devote their lives to helping others and keeping society safe. As for competance and training: the police training syllabus is standardised and basic training does not vary as it is laid down in home office guidelines.
