Sukpatch is Chris Heidman and Steve Cruze, they began making music together in 1990 back in college, they pioneered the indie breakbeat/loop sound, influencing many bands' and labels' approach to music. After releasing their first 2 albums with the Seattle based Slabco label they caught the attention of Mike D from the Beastie Boys, who then signed them to his label, Grand Royal. After the release of an ep and a full length, the label folded and all the bands were set free. Sukpatch went dormant for several years, now living in different parts of the country they began recording and passing songs to each other through Ichat, these songs now make up the latest release "Twenty-Three" (due out March 27th in the UK and Europe) which is to be released by the ultra-hip Moshi Moshi label, based in the UK. "Out the Window" is slated as the 2nd single, due later in the spring.

Dontpressthatbutton's curators apologize for the lack of attention they paid when posting the previous comment. They of course meant "urge" rather than "urgent" in the second sentence.

The curators of dontpressthatbutton are so heartened that Sukpatch is still making the world a better place with mind-elevating songs like this that, well, they decided to reference this as an exhibit. They urgent you to please keep it posted here or anyplace, and to let them know if there's ever anything they can do for the band or its friends and relations.
