What a great arrangement of two absolute Christmas classics to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords:

O Come All Ye Faithful; and
O Holy Night

Do you think Mary fully understood the historical and spiritual importance of this event? His birth turned the world up-side-down. And now, all mankind can find redemption through God's Son.

This is an original arrangement by Paul O'Neill of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Johnny sticks closely to the TSO version most of us know so well. He was scheduled to record this piece on Thanksgiving but broke his right hand that same day delaying the song for several weeks. It was necessary for him to learn new techniques in order to play with a cast up to his elbow. Ever try to dampen the strings with a fiberglass cast?

  • @werrtyaxel We recorded the backtrack in our studio. We had to get permission to use it, but that permission is limited.

  • With limited permission to do so, we recorded the track ourselves.

  • what is that band around your ring and pinky fingers on your strumming hand?

  • @leftyguitarist47 Broke my hand and just got cast off. Doctor said to keep fingers taped still. Hand is fine now. Thanks.

  • Having followed TSO for the last few years and seen Al Pitrelli performing the song live, I can say that you would make him proud with that rendition. Fantastic guitar work. Would love to see you performing with the masters themselves. Keep up the great work; hope to hear some more from you in the near future.

  • GRR! I wanna hate you so bad! But I can't, you are really good. You exhibit a feel for what you are doing. I'm confident that you could play that song with your eyes closed. You have a good bluesy flair to your style that is relaxed but not sloppy and your timing is spot on. Rock on dude, there should be music in your future. I wouldn't be suprised if you could get an audition with TSO. Good luck.

  • @ThatJohnnyKid Where did you go to get the permission to use it? I would like to do something like this.

  • @ThatJohnnyKid got a good future ahead of you playin guitar like that

  • brilliant guitar work, dude. brought a lump to my throat. keep it up.

  • brilliant guitar word, dude. brought a lump to my throat. keep it up.

  • Wow. Just wow. You're great, kid! Keep doing what you're doing, it's hard to find guitar players on youtube who play as clean and as well as you.
