He recently asked if I thought that the iPad will "overtake" the market for netbooks. Keep in mind that an iPad isn't technically a netbook before you even decide what your answer is going to be.

I happen to have both an iPad and a netbook... both purchased with my own hard-earned money. While the netbook I have certainly works, I rarely use it or take it with me anywhere. The keyboard is too small, and it's just slow. All netbooks I've played around with seem to be sloooooooow. That's not a good common denominator in my opinion. http://chris.pirillo.com

  • chris is a moron i run half life 2 san andreas vice city warcraff gta 3 and call of duty on my aspire 1 with no problems

  • @pokestory1 no racing no fps games look at the psp/vita 3ds/ds game library it kicks the ipod touches ass the xperia play an android phone is also a smart choice with its mobile games with game pad controls emulators for gameboy n64 and ps1 and upcoming psp titles

  • if you want a good netbook buy amd one

  • iPads won't but "real tablets" probably will

  • Notebooks are jokes for my stand. Ya you can do things, but really it feels like a crippled child that can't do everything that it's counterparts with the same OS can.

  • with the Ipad, I miss the keyboard honestly. Yes it's nice, but honestly I want a keyboard that's not a touch screen or something that could be misplaced (detachable)

Portable game consoles? Bullshit. the PSP and the DS will not be replaced by the Ipad. portable gaming consoles have to be holdable and have actually buttons, because gaming likes to mash buttons and not fuss up the screen.

  • as I am a gamer I like the usb ports I use them to plug usbs in to backup my gamesaves I plug in gam controllers for some games so yes usbs are important and I prefer a the feeling of pressing buttons as to touching glass becuase it feels more real

  • I ran a game on a Netboook with intel atom 1.6ghz 1gb ram and intelHD Gpu

the game is is is Final fantasy 7 =DDD

  • I would say it won't kill portable systems, the ipod touch is better for gaming. The portable systems have physical controls and a deeper experience. If ios devices can have phisical control it would be a diffinitive way of playing games.

  • touch is ok on a big screen. kind of annoying on phone screens.
