Today, we ride all three Payne Traction Elevators, in the Bullock Building (Main bay, and building), at Burbank Hospital, Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
These elevators were death traps in the 1990's, with violent starts, violent shaking, and major door rattlling, albeit much smoother going down.
Today, these elevators were modernized, and they fixed these enough to barely stay out of the "Death Trap" range.
These have very brutal speed deltas, meaning these feel a LOT faster than they are!
The first and thrid elevator had dead floor indicators (third elevator was restricted), and a barely visible, yet functioning one was on the second elevator.
This is also my second, and fastest "Elevator Derby" ever! It was easy, since they came along one after another. I rode the whole bank of three.
Also, pardon for the shaky video. That's what 40oz. of Mountain Dew can do to you. :)
Here's an idea for an experiment: does 39oz of Mountain Dew=less shakiness? :)

Nope. I saved myself the time, by trying it. :)
