The various types of imaging studies are discussed in detail, including MRI, CT scan, MR spectroscopy, functional MR. Dr. Cerullo also discusses the use of physiological testing, including visual field testing, brainstem evoked potential testing and somatosensory evoked potential testing. Dr. Cerullo also discusses the use of biopsy which provides the neurosurgeon with the DNA make-up of the tumor. This information provides a foundation for planning of the treatment protocol.
