This video shows how a portable satellite meter like the SF95L (see link above) can help finding the sweet spot to perfectly align a satellite dish. This can be used on a DirecTV, Dish Network, C Band, KU Band, Free To Air, HughesNet, Bell Expressvu, and other satellite dishes. Good for DIY Home installer, tailgating and for RV campers.

Helps reduce rainfade (breaking up of satellite signal during rain storms).

  • Do you have a video that shows how to properly assemble the item BEFORE you try to use the satellite finder?

  • @driflyer13 Hi. Are you referring to assembly of the dish or the meter?

  • i have like this machine satellite finder but it hard to using .,now i use mini tv plus mini dvb

  • @rif4our It is a tool that will help you identify if the signal is getting stronger or weaker a you move the dish. For the price of it, it is a useful tool. But don't expect it to be a professional tool. Those cost in the hundreds of dollars and do much more.

As you practice with this and understand how to align your dish, it will be a very easy and fast every time you use it. Make sure you have a good compass as well because you will need to know what direction you have to aim the dish.

  • It is a very handy tool to have for any RV owner with a tripod mounted dish. Also, great for the tailgate party

  • For RV I prefer to use a system automatic (or semiautomatic) like the one in site s2cplanet . com

  • @BANGERS68 yes the other cable goes to the sat box, make sure its switched on thats where the meter gets its power to make beep sound

  • how do you wire the thing.sat to tester then were does the other cable go. is it to the sat box??

  • I enjoy that meter to find and get a good signal on a satellite dish. It is very handy for anyone who has a mobile dish in their trucks or mobile homes on the move.
