Attention: This film is in the public domain.
In 1969 in the USSR, acclaimed film director Larisa Shepitko was given several popular musical acts and was (probably) ordered to make a TV movie celebrating the new year. The result is one of the most insane things ever put on film. I do not speak a word of Russian, so I have no idea what anyone is saying, but the story, such as it is, doesn't make much sense if you do know Russian either, or so I am told. You will never see anything like this.
very, very different from her other movies!!!!
