So since when is the bible universally accepted as god's law? Last I checked, the bible was one of the most debated and controversial pieces of literature in history. I can respect your personal beliefs, but not all of us follow a self-proclaimed holy word that condemns people like Harvey Milk simply because of the gender of their sexual partners.

God's natural law sir not the law of the old testament . the bible says for a man to lay with another man as he does with a woman is an abomination ! No way around that one , unless you're going to throw out the bible.

Consider what kind of world we'd live in when you apply your statement to the civil rights movement of the 1960's. It's a duty of those with a voice to help those without one. That's the essence of being American.

im saying what is the point to say no gay rights when it doesn't affect people who are not gay? its like fighting a war that has nothing to do with you?

People have their own reasons for formulating their opinions on issues. But it's having an opinion and acting on it that makes you a patriot.
I myself happen to be a straight man, but I don't believe that the government or anyone for that matter has any right to tell me the gender of the person that I'm allowed to have sex with, love, live with or marry.

well, i guess i can see that. i just think it is more patriotic to allow all marriage. but i can where your coming from
