Reading a lot of comments about tempo. I performed this song several years ago and learned the following: A live tempo will be faster(song between :50-1:10) and still work for a live audience, while a recorded one should be a little slower because of the nature of the listening experience (compared to live)and the medium.

This was so much fun. C: I love choir, and this song. (: I sang it again and I think I like it better when it's slower, but still. Fantastic. :)

@Mrtorchbearer What makes you say that?

Perfect tempo, shame the recording isn't better, I'm sure this was about as good as it gets for this song. :)
Aww, I missed the Texas camp, but I'm going to another in Houston :D This is my favorite all state song!

This is really good. The tempo is a bit too fast for my taste - it felt rushed. But that's more a matter of personal taste than anything. What I would like to see is more variation of dynamics. It was a strong forte throughout most of it with a few brief quieter moments, but I'd like to see more of that - I think the quieter moments add more feeling to it and make the stronger parts seem even stronger by comparison. Otherwise, this rendition is fantastic.
