  • I used to be there every Saturday. More people knew me from seeing me on tv. Not too bad for a guy like me. hehehe.

I've been looking for a copy of the theme song that played when Rick Shaw hosted the program. It was called Cannonball Schwartz and his electric kazoo.

  • @ussfccc1 I directed Saturday Hop. You stated you found the theme song. Do you have an mp3 file of it you can share? Do you have any still pictures from the show?

  • @conkyjoe Sorry, no. I said I had been looking for the song. And no, I don't have any pictures, just those in my mind. The brightest picture is of the girl I used to dance with. She went by the name Candy. Her real name was Joan. Her and her friend Cheryl would come together to the show. I really had a thing for Joan. We were good friends. The last I saw of her was when I came home on leave after basic training. I should have married her. I really cared for her.

  • @conkyjoe no, i said i've been looking for one. I thought it may have been a Buchanan and Goodman effort but no joy.

  • LOL I was a regular on the10 Bandstand in Miami. Went to Miami Jackson.

  • Enjoyed watching your video. Even though here in OKC we didn't have a local show like this, at least we had the national American Bandstand with Dick Clark. Of course we had the same records being played on our local top 40 radio station. Good title for your video, BACK TO THE HOP. Sounds like a song that Danny and the Juniors might have recorded back in 1961.
