  • @needlearmor PART B: .... fixation, but the force may travel up toward a jt that is already hypermobile, yet still modulate pain due to mechanoreceptor stimulation. If you apply manual mobilizations with movements, the joint moves in it's normal physiologic state, the obstruction to movement is removed & the joint moves freely.

  • @needlearmor PART A: If you have cavitation & the joint capsule loosens, then certainly that is going to cause increased ROM, but it seems to me the joint is not in it's 'natural state' & may even be more susceptible to postural stresses (gravity). Also, think about applying a manual manip to an assumed fixated point; where is the force transfer going to go? Perhaps the path of least resistance? The force may be imparted at the perceived point of ..(GO TO PART B)

  • I am no Chiropractor, nor do I play one on TV. I read two books on the subject, and now I practice daily on my 3 year old. I always try for a louder crack noise than the last. She can turn her head now like Linda Blair in the Exorcist! Thanks YouTube for the tips and inspiration!
