My first time playing in public was nerve wracking I was the drummer.. You have a real good ability to perform. Keep trying.. You need a couple real good songs of your own not just acoustic. Something with a great melody and thought provoking lyrics.. Make a song about the times we live in, gov spying on people, people losing rights..Or the great worldwide depression/losing jobs etc.. If it's really good it will catch peoples attention..

@MajesticMoments Yes,the first time you sit in front of an audience,especially if you are totally alone without any backing of any kind, its a nerve shredding experience. I had lots of support on this night though so it was very much a home gig. Thank you for your advice about songwriting. Yes, i think i am going to start penning songs that address wider global issues. At the moment my songs are very specific to me so it would be interesting to try something different.
