Bullhook: Weapon of Choice

Exploitation of animals by circuses thru train-by-pain methods of conditioning, and the subsequent spirit-breaking, fear-inducing result, comprises a substantial portion of the organized, profit-driven cruelty and abuse that exists today.
To change a wild animal's natural behavior thru repeated beatings with the bullhook, whip, and electric prod, is animal cruelty in it's basest form.
To create the illusion that elephants and other wild animals enjoy performing unnatural acts for public entertainment (and corporate profits), is ethically and morally wrong. We will no longer accept animal cruelty as a cost of doing business. There is no excuse for animal abuse, no matter where it occurs. Remember: Circuses Are No Fun For Animals, So Please Don't Support Circuses That Use Wild Animals!!

There is a right way, and a wrong way, to use the bull hook. This video shows all the wrong ways, and does not show how it should be used. It makes me sad to see these elephants being misstreated like this, but you should know also, that not all animal trainers are like this. These are clips of people who should not be allowed to care for animals at all.

Unfortunately, the bullhook nowadays is used primarily as a weapon to instill fear and condition the animal to do tricks in order to entertain the paying customers. I hope everyone who condemns what is shown on the video will find positive, meaningful ways to get actively involved in his/her own community.

Dear God, how much documented footage does there have to be before ANYONE from the USDA or any branch of our so called gov. sees the horrific abuse of these magnificent animals. It has been YEARS of everyone seeing this treatment, why hasn't the USDA ever seen anything? So many citations from 1 circus & no one gets it? What has the human race turned into?
