  • LiLo is better than GRUB!

  • You can set the boot default also by name.

    Example:

    GRUB_DEFAULT="Linux Mint 9, 2.6.37-0.dmz.7-liquorix-686 (/dev/sda6)"

    To see a list of possible menu entries, type:

    cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg|grep menuentry|cut -d\" -f2

  • Super video. Ubuntu has a tendency to stress me out but now all is well. Thank you.

  • Very useful video! :)

  • Thanks for the tip. I was rather put out when I figured out that they rearranged the furniture and started using GRUB 2.

  • Nice, thanks man :-D

  • Thank you for the tip. I was pretty miffed when I found out they rearranged the furniture with GRUB 2.

  • Loved your wallpaper, why did you get it from?

  • Great job, Bill! Please convey our best regards to Shawn. I'm headed to the LJ site now.
