The crossfader of KORG ZERO 4 has 3pin connector.
But usual crossfader has 4pin connector. An example
is Vestax crossfader or Pro X Fade etc.

In this time, I made 3pin-4pin converter connector and
confirm system operation.

This movie is the evidence!!

  • Hi yamamo... i also have Korg Zero 4, but i don't like my bundled crossefader too much... so, before replacing it, i saw you tried both pro X (analogue) and Infinium (digital) crossfaders on your mixer. Which is the best for you or are you still using? I also found innofader as a replacement fader but i don't know which one to choose... thanks for posting those videos!

  • @poison1970 I've used zero4 yet, of course! And then I like PXF better than Infinium if they're installed in zero4. Because it's easy to fix the fader in the mixer :D

  • @themackis i did the exact same thing, took it apart and took pictures to prove my psychoticness! the shitty thing tho after i took it apart and fixed the broken pin it busted again not even 2 weeks later. so i found a 45 mm fader on ebay for 7 bucks, turned out to be the exact same fader....so i took the little fucker apart again, put in the new fader, and its been working like a charm ever since!

  • @themackis

i have had to replace my fx fader, its the most complicated and hard to get to fader on the Z4. i had to dismantle my Z4 down to the motherboard where the fader is actually located, its a normal 45mm fader with 2 top pins and 4 bottom pins and 2 base pins.

do you have to push on the fader itself for the effect to cut in? if so its a busted pin, alot of the Z4s have had this exact same problem which is a pain in the the ass to fix, but cheap if you a ntake it apart yourself

  • Question; Yamamo 2. Did you put this fader in because the fader that came with it was noisy? When you push the a/b buttons do you get some hum each time you light one up?

  • Ok, maybe I missed it, how do install this fader. All I getting is "Its plugged in and it works!" which doesnt do me or anyone watching this any good. Feel free to flame me back if nessecary.

  • I feel u... So I guess that the rane, rodec, pioneer 909, hak 380 and ur mixer all have sweet crossfaders..Damn I'm buying mixers 4 nothing then.. pease, aka Blaze

  • Uhm... It's chicken-and-egg. I think tt's a matter of personal taste.
