@W2MEntertainment true...valid point...jay did waste a lot of bars on getting at other rappers, prodigy for instance, on takeover...ether was dope...it's rare to hear a diss song that is actually something you can appreciate on a musical level...the beat and the hook were hot...and superugly was lyrically lame...it was just a sucker punch to nas...i mean, the personal element of sleeping with a dude's former chick will hit hard no matter what...but the song quality was weak and lacked effort

@W2MEntertainment it makes u think if Hov had made a full track on Nas on Takeover things could have been very different but he didn't..and his follow up was kinda ehhh..BP2 was a dope track tho.

Nas kept consistency throughout Ether..and every bar was a cut..true or not..all of us have opinions and most think Nas won..so we have to be diplomatic and agree that MOST thought he won..just like i think Jay won the WAR, signing Nas to Def Jam, leaving Def Jam, and now Nas got screwed over COLD.

Ether was one of the greatest disses of all time, as was Takeover..

Jay went more on educated opinions/facts on Takeover, whereas Nas was more on "Your Ugly, Big Lips" and things which were more suggestions..what was not suggested tho was Carmen!!

However...Jay only went one verse on Nas, whereas Nas hit the whole track up, Jay made the mistake in coming weak on Superugly..which is what really made people see him lose the battle.
