This song came together in a week in three different cities, RIGHT BEFORE ELECTION DAY 2008 because of people's belief in Sen. Obama and his message of renewal and the historic nature of this election. It was made by REGULAR AMERICANS of all different backgrounds and ages - NO STARS - NO BUDGET!

The song was inspired by Gospel singer, Mahalia Jackson reminding Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to Tell Them About the Dream" forty-five years to the day that Obama gave his DNC acceptance speech. That cry becomes the voice of the muse speaking to Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, King, and now Obama and ultimately us, the American people.

It is featured on the CD Compilation and Charitable Website Dream On! Honoring the continued dream of Dr. King: www.thedreamcontinued.org.

The musicians you see with Laura are New Orleans native, Jonathan Batiste and his amazing quartet at Legacy Studio in New York City.

Thanks to Patricia Dance in Boston for her background vocal arrangement.

And thanks to Grammy-Award-winnger Jim Scott in LA for mixing last minute!

Huge thanks to Ralph Modica for the amazing video from start to finish!!

Please help us spread it to keep this inspirational moment going!

  • Such beautiful voice, I'm glad I found this video.

Def will introduce you to my friends. Also heard your "Fly Home Flag Boy" from show "The Glades" loved it!

  • Let 2010 bring America as one Tthis will make us stronger instead of falling deeper in the pit of self- destruction of a nation or a soceity. We are one rainbow of people with 2 major parties in congress. We need to build a better country, and respect the different in people like today! Let us all start with ourselves to change for the sake of our children of our great land! ."I AM A American". Peace to all men and understanding is my prayer! Jocelyn
