I feel so much respect to those soldiers even though I am a Pole. RIP all brave soldiers!

My grandfather...who died in the past week...fought as a Fallschirmjeger against the 101st. He has the greatest of respect for them and although he had to fight them and shot at them, considered them a worthy opponent. One of his favourite stories was how they allowed him to colect and drag away his best friend who had been shot in the stomach... my grandfather put his weapon in the air over a wall and the yanks stopped firing so he could come out and get his mate, saving his life

a lot off the escaped to the foreign legion and they still play the songs today that the german soldiers did sing in the ww2 i think that it says it all RIP all brave german soldiers and all respect
