Well, this is interesting, however that in NOT Berlin! It's Farhenheit. That's John Crawford (vocals), Keith Walsh (Synth). Rich West (Synth) and myself, Daniel van Patten (Synth). This was John and my band that was in between the breakup and re-grouping of Berlin (1980-1982). We also recorded "The Metro" and "Tell me Why". The track "Torture" on Pleasure Victim is actually Farhenheit. We just added Terri's vocals to that track. I produced and engineered both bands.

@TheNewMusicNetwork another thing, the screamers were doing electronic at punk speeds back in 77'. where was ultravox then? lofl

@TheNewMusicNetwork There's plenty of citations with John mentioning Ultravox as being an influence. You only need to go to Google and type in "john crawford" with "berlin" & "ultravox" to see.
I can't link to the page I got the citation from as it may break Youtube rules regarding file sharing. But you'll see it on Google, it's a blog.

@drummerdanbelize I seriously doubt it. good try though
-
@Jarren202 i'd like to see proof of that.
-
gotta give john and berlin credit, they really loved the women.
-
Was this while Terri left for a short time to pursue a career in film?
-
Specfiically, John said that the bass line from The Metro was lifted from an Ultravox song called All Stood Still.

@TheNouveauxdecadence Not as far as I know! This is very rare indeed. I'd love to see some footage of Virginia Macolino fronting Berlin (from the Information period), but I guess that'll be almost impossible.
WOW.....was this before Terri joined......before even their first album "Information", or was it before their "Pleasure Victim" they used a pix of John from this video on the album sleeve of "Pleasure Victim" . I would love an in depth bio on the bands history.....that are one of my all time favorites. THX for the post .
