The city itself is amazing - I would love to live in Vancouver! But the architecture itself is very uninspired...there is a reason why its called the City of Glass!

true we do have lots of glass buildings. i dont go into the city a lot but my family and i were driving through one day and i was thinking that there was something unique about the city and i kept looking at all the tall buildings but i still couldnt figure out what it was. know i now! lol! i am so oblivious sometimes. i guess it just seemed normal to me.

I agree about the architecture being bland. Compared to other cities, we have really boring buildings. Fortunately, there just happens to be an ocean and mountains surrounding the city, which means Vancouver still kicks most cities' butts!!!

I'm sorry that you completely missed the mark on the architecture. Vancouver's tall glass structures give it a completely unique look, like crystal spires, reflecting each other, the sky, and the sea. You compare it to Seattle which is a dull, flat, bland mishmash of concrete stand-bys, with only one interesting structure. Vancouver is the most beautiful, most modern city in the world, which is why it is such a prime location for sci-fi film.
