  • How is it that dips are acceptable, yet you advise against letting the elbow go much lower that the shoulder in the bench press?

    They are pretty strong the only weekness is if you do not glue them properly or do the swinging push ups in them.

    As for the shoulders in dips you lean in to get the depth to take the pressure off the shoulder joint thats why bench dips are the worst because you can not. Anyone with unstable shoulders that doesnt want to be able to do muscle ups or Full ROM push ups etc shoulder to elbow with a lean is ok or dont do dips at all.

  • it all depends on what the persons goals are if they only want muscle growth and want to keep it safe dont let the elbow go past the shoulder joint eg floor press for bench or dont let the shoulder go deeper than the elbow in dips. Most sports require more ROM so it is better to have the strength thought the greater ROM. Its all individual

  • yeah would feel that workout for the next week if it gave way.
