Today we will be discussing the ideal time to reserve an apartment. In this video, we are talking about vacation rentals, which means a rental of an apartment that lasts between 2 days and 1 month.

If you are looking for a vacation rental in any one of our destination cities including New York, Paris, London or the South of France the best times to contact us to reserve your apartment is typically the same, but varies during different times of the year especially during holidays or special events.

• If you are traveling during the months of January, February and March, it is ideal to contact us 1 to 3 months in advance of your rental dates.
• If your rental dates are during the months of April through September, during the busier summer travel months, it is best to contact us 3 to 5 months before your trip.
• The months of October, November and December, the winter holiday period, are similar to the summer months and you will want to contact us about your vacation rental apartment 3 to 5 months before your rental period begins.

Please also keep in mind holidays and events. Some of these are specific to the destination such as the New York City Marathon, the Cannes Film Festival and so on. If looking into reserving an apartment during or around a holiday or event, it is ideal to make a reservation around 6 months in advance. Don't forget, though, that these are ideal times but many there are always choices available even for last minute bookings.
