KEY POINTS:
1. My conclusion on Pantothen as of day 25: So today is the day where my face is most severely affected by acne. (again, my case is only mild/moderate). I noticed I still had a LOT of acne, but they were a lot SMALLER. I find that the inflammation is decreasing but the number of occurences (sp?) is the same or even maybe increased slightly.
2. The paper they sited in their article doesn't prove anything if you actually read it. It's part of "Journal Of Orthomolecular Medicine". If you read the actual article and are familiar with scientific research papers... you'll soon realize this is not a report of it's finding at all. This MD (by the way, he's only MD, not MD/PhD, which means he probably doesn't actually do research) just took a bunch of previous papers about pantothenic acid and combined them. I was pretty irritated
3. For severe acne, the article (which is just a restatement of other articles *eye roll*) states would need up to 20 g of pantothenic acid... @_@ 20 grams!!! Pantothen's dose provides 2.2 grams. And Pantothen says it will take 1 month - 2 month, but the article states even with 20 grams, it can take several month (2-4 months). [aka, pantothen's claim is probably overextending it's actual use, but I wouldn't doubt that pantothen has SOME effect for MILD/MODERATE acne]
Later, while I rest up my upper respiratory infection - the illness that a 9 year old could diagnose that my doctor charged me and my insurance for -__-''
I really hope it works for you although I have a hard time believing in these online miracle creams.... I guess I'll try buying vitamin B5, which was recommended by my doctor for other reasons anyway :)
Get well soon too!
