Manic Depression - Jimi Hendrix (Songs Guitar Lesson ST-325) How to play

In this lesson we check out Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix, pretty much all the tune, but not the solo. I show you the bits but you will have to listen to the recording to work out what order to out them in cos it's kinda complex...

re: the solo - It's just too random and sketchy to teach, wanna learn it? then transcribe it, it's pretty much all A minor pentatonic scale and basic blues licks! Have a go and try and work it out. Get the transcribe program going...

just a rather dumb question from a beginner but, how do you play it at the beginning, cause im just plucking the strings and justin was strumming so i was wondering how to play like it was at the very beginning, mastered the song, so thanks, but wanted to know how to play the tune in the write way??

@Loggies89 He almost always teaches songs that are a half-step down in Standard so that people can learn the tune without having to re-tune

@wctennisnyc you cant get his tone.... you can try your hardest and you wil never get the tone that jimi has because you dont have his fingers.... but you have you own tone, make your own version of it
