  • Well, I guess having to work really does keep one exercising. But then it also will cause back or spine problems to some, especially those living in hot and humid countries. Like my granny who use to work very hard in her youth, now she has serious spine problems... :(

  • Dapu hakka is close to Hepo accent, I think.

  • Hakka dialets vary from place to place depending on where they mixed with the local tribes. The common ones are Moiyen/ Kahyin, Dapu (north east of Guangdong), Hepo (northeast-east of Guangdong near Teochew), and Huizhou (southeast of Guangdong near the coastal area).

The Hongkong Hakka is of Huizhou ascent, while the narrator's is close to moiyen ascent.

Hepo ascent is further away from the above.

The most archaic Hakka ascent is said to be in Changding, Jiangxi province.

  • This is the Hakka that HK Hakka people would understand. Didn't know there was a Hakka TV. Even though I can understand it, unfortunately I was never taught to speak it at home by my family.

  • Bao An!! WOOO FTW.

  • can anybody know how many Hakka dialects in China? cuz im Hakka 2, but i kind like ..barely understand what they'd said... not completely though.

  • cool, a fellow wo hang descendant, my family are in uk too, down in devon tho...im in working in london. my granparents are still living there...do you go back to visit?
