No actually the BOOKS are for people who want to read the books. The Film is supposed to put it on a bigger stage for everyone to enjoy regardless if you read it or not. I didnt read any of them and i liked it and understood it. Just stfu. Lol

You don't HAVE to have read the books to enjoy the film, that wouldn't make much sense on the directors part if that was their aim, although it did help to understand a lot more to have read the books beforehand. I went to see it with my cousins and had to explain a lot to them afterwards as they haven't read any of the books.

To be sure, reading books is much better. Tell 'Adam Jacobson to STFU and put your head in your urine.

Katniss: We wouldnt make it five miles.

Me: Really? You ran five miles to get to the woods. I think running away is a little logical :)

I was a fan if the books before I knew about the movies!!! The movie is amazing but doesn't have as much detail as the books do. The casting is perfect!!! Xx

To the people who are still debating about if the books vs. the movies, books will always have much more detail and usually a better story. Why? Because movies are typically two hours long and you cannot cover over two hundred pages in that amount of time. I recommend reading the books because then you will probably like the movie better, but I won't stuff it down your throat. Just because I read doesn't mean you do. :) Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
