In 1950, the Tulagi nightclub opens on the Hill in Boulder; the great Tulagi name myth; the Astronauts, a surf band 1,000 miles from the ocean, skim the charts with "Baja," take Tulagi like stormtroopers in the early 1960s, relentlessly tour the Big Eight Midwest and become stars in Japan.

My grandparents had a student boarding house next door to the south of Tulagi's.  When I was in the first and second grade, I would go stay with them and late at nught I could hear The Astronauts playing next door. Now THAT is a memory! BIG THANKS to whoever you are for putting this up.
