About a month after the taped meeting with Murtha, the co-conspirator, lawyer Howard L. Criden, wrote in his affidavit: "Yesterday, Feb. 1, (Democrat Congressman Frank 'Topper') Thompson called and told me that Murtha was ready to go," adding that Murtha had indicated "during January that he was not ready to do business but would be willing to do so in the future."
Your government at "work". Do you think that kind of stuff happens today? Without a doubt Washington D.C is a cesspool of corruption, always has been. Don't fool yourself, Democrats and Republicans are both willing players in this sort of thing.
Judging by this six minute, fifteen second-long clip of the Murtha FBI video, which I am seeing again for the second time, I am still uncertain on whether Murtha is corrupt or not. The undercover agents try to make it clear to Murtha that they want to bribe him, but his response is that the bribers don't need any help to get what they want. Inconclusive to me.
I've seen the whole video, and a couple reasons why the FBI never indicted Murtha are: (1) There is no clear quid pro quo in the video. IOW, there isn't any identifiable case of Murtha allowing the undercover agents to give him something in return for something else. (2) The conversation going on in the video often appears non-sensical. I don't know what they're talking about half the time.
The "kool-aid" drinkers are the ones who don't realize that the only congressmen and senators who met with these agents were ones who were ON THE TAKE.
Yeah! Yeah! That's it. He hates America. he loves terrorists, in fact he probably eventually sold out America to them and is on their payroll. Please! Stop drinking the Republican Kool-Aid.

This is not the full tape. Murtha is not the cleanest politician, but at least be fair. Jeez.
