Biomass in Europe

Presentation of several biomass projects in the EU. Even though bioenergy is by far the largest renewable used in Europe today (over 66%), it is called the "sleeping giant" because of its large potential.
This video shows a large biomass district heating project in Vilnius (Latvia), small scale automated heating systems for homes in France, and farmers in Slovenia who survive because of the new biomass opportunities.
Most of these projects are part of the EU's Intelligent Energy program.
