Terrain Analysis with Dr. Tom Eastler

This is a quick peek inside a Terrain Analysis class taught by Professor of Geology Tom Eastler. The class introduces students to the techniques of remote sensing of environment, emphasizing relevance and applicability of remote sensing techniques to physical, biological, and cultural investigations of terrestrial ecosystems. Topics include an introduction to electromagnetic radiation, a survey of existing remote sensing systems, and detailed collection, interpretation, and analysis of selected aerial remote sensing data. As you can see, our average classroom size is pretty small, about 19 students per classroom, which encourages close student and professor interaction and collaboration.
