I had one done last July and I am getting another in two weeks. According to this video this person was under sudation. Wow...I wish they would do that to me. Those injections hurt like hell. The relief was wonderful. But how curel to not offer the sudation. I'm going to load up on pain meds before I go next time. I hope it makes a difference.
The shot worked for me but hurt like hell, they gave me a shot to numb the skin but that was it. Then the stuck that big ass needle in me, I felt everything. And was bleeding like a stuck pig.
You need to research these. I've gotten ELEVEN injections over a couple years. Some help. Some don't. Out of 11, 9 provided relief. Out of those 9 the longest relief was almost two weeks. The shortest was a couple days. These are not gauranteed to work to any specific level. They are to attempt help in pain management and manage a herniation. From my two years that's the most I can share with you.
Basically it does not does anything for the disc, but the sciatic nerve and the inflammation around it.This can help the disc heal bit faster with physio or other alternative treatments
I got my first lumbar injection on 5-5-11 and by 5-11-11; my pain it was increasing by the hour. On 5-19-11, they did a second one on the other side saying it would help. it is now 5-26-11 and I am still in extreme! Is anyone else going through this too?. I just know my pain is 1000 times worse than it has ever been before these 2 injections, something is very wrong
@kevcowboy63 any steroid will naturally increase ur body temp along wit blood pressure but not an amount to make it a health risk..but hot flashes and burning skin is a result from the steroids my suggestion would be increase your activity to a maximum without hurting your back or causing pain to not only move the steroids around your body through circulation but also to filter out the excess left overs not used in the centralized injection site
these side effects can last, but the pain is my back is worse now go figure one good week then one back week, kinda rethinking getting the third shot. please help if u can
then after the second shot this past monday i was in more pain then i had started these shots, and can nayone tell me please if and any side effects they are having, I have been having major hot flash, burning skin on neck chest and face (shots were done to lower back) (Kenalog/triamcinolone) serious sweating when i am laying down or asleep, can anyone please tell me they have experienced it and how long will these affects last, it kind of scares me, i looked it up but it dont say how long side
