I think this song is about a girl, or anyone, with Multiple Personality Disorder. The lyrics are coming from the point of view of this particular "voice" inside the girl's head. The "voice" is being treated as an actual person, not just a voice. It's like a conversation between this voice and the girl who is no longer letting the voice have control because she is ending her life. "They said it's gonna be alright" - MPD can never be fully treated. These lyrics are sad.. and very real.
