TAGGED

This poem by James Walter Orr, aka Easy Seeker aka ezseeker is a study on how an old poet should respond to a tag. Written in rhyme and rhythm.

TAGGED

It seems that when a person's tagged,
the way I understand,
one has to leave some sort of clue
to show the world his brand.

I racked my brain to try and think
of something cool to say
that would not seem too much far fetched
to sort of point the way.

My politics are liberal:
An activist I am
I work, each day, to show the way
our politics a scam.

I live up to my Gemini,
and show the world two sides:
The one side shows a poet's soul;
the other side collides.

If you would know the man I am,
I am the man I was,
when all the sweet things followed me,
because they liked my flaws.

Oh girls, bend forward, toward the screen
and look into my eyes.
You'll see the same thing you saw then,
that made your passion rise.

It's sad, but true, my time is up
for this short video,
so I don't have the chance to tell
the things that you should know.

I guess I have to say good bye,
and call this time a wrap.
You know my URL if you
would walk into my trap.

Oh girls, with beauty in your eyes
and passion on your lips:
just bring your nectar by my site,
so I can have some sips.
