On July 9th (at local time), as many as 34 cities (or more) came together in support of the Bersih 2.0 rally which demands for free and fair elections in Malaysia. In this video, we witness solidarity from different cities around the world which has a sizeable Malaysian population to come together and say enough is enough. We deserve more than this. We do not need fancy slogans like 1Malaysia and Malaysia Truly Asia, but rakyat consisting of different ethnic, religious and social background in support of Bersih 2.0.

In Australia alone, capital of all the states in Australia rallied to make a stand. In United States, there were as many as 6 cities in support. In New Zealand, 3 cities comprising Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington pledged support. Of course, you have Malaysians all over the globe mainly Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Taipei, Dubai, Cairo, Istanbul, Dublin, Stockholm, Geneva, Zurich, Paris, Bordeaux, London, Glasgow and Ottawa.

  • great job! :) i must say, bersih 2.0 rally makes me proud to be a malaysian, let alone the fact it has gone global, i am way proud. a friend did told me this before, "the day we stop asking, the day we do not fight for our own right, is the day when democracy fails."

what i can conclude is, as you can see, as we can see, in fact as the world can see, we are stepping away from the brink of failure. one step forward is one step to improvement. change for better. :)
