This my second 1953 Titanic crossover. This one is about the collision with the iceberg. This crossover holds a few surprises that you may not have been expecting. Enjoy.
Storyline: The Titanic sails across the Atlantic. Her crew keep her on track as she heads towards New York. Suddenly, the ship's lookouts spot an iceberg emerging out of the darkness and sound the alarm. The crew desperately try and put the ship to turn hard a starboard. The animated Toons are on deck, looking on in awe at the huge size of the berg as it gets closer to the ship.
Titanic swings her bow across but it is too late... the iceberg hits her. Noticing something is wrong, Captain Smith, while listening while to a singing group, runs to the bridge. As Titanic continues to scrape the berg, parts of it tumble into the sea. It even buckles her hull in several places and popping out rivets below the waterline. Captain Smith, along with Governor Ratcliffe arrives on the bridge. One the officers closes the watertight doors, trapping most of the men below.
Richard Ward Sturges is playing cards with some of the other passengers when he hears the engines stop. Captain Hook also hears this too. Worried, Richard walks out onto the deck. A priest, George S. Headley, shows him the iceberg as it slowly slips into the shadows of the Atlantic. Headley tells him that it hit the ship. Richard runs up the stairs to the upper deck.
Meanwhile, Captain Smith along with some of the animated Toons get bad news. Five of the Titanic's watertight compartments have filled with water. Mufasa tells the animated Toons that the ship will sink. This comes a total shock. Titanic's fate has been sealed. Following emergency instructions, Captain Smith tells his men to prepare to abandon ship. He heads towards the wireless room and orders the wireless operator to send out a CQD call to all ships.
As the captain leaves, Richard finds him and asks him if the Titainc is going to sink. Smith tells him that he has ordered all women and children into the lifeboats. He and Richard both know that there's not enough room for the men.
The Titanic's crew fire off distress rockets and sound the alarm to get the passengers ready to evacuate her. She sounds her whistle in distress, hoping that other ships are nearby to save the rest of her passengers.
Note: I thought that using the Danger theme from Thunderbirds would make the iceberg scene more better..
I do not own anything.
This is really great except for those holes in the audio. This is even more of a disappointment because I have worked with FCP and it would be so easy to get right.
