Homelessness... It's sad. Dangerous. Heartbreaking. Depressing and destructive.
A piece of cardboard for a bed in an alley. Only thread-bare clothes on their backs for warmth. The uncertainty of a life in shambles. The anguish of having no work. The remorse of wasted years. That's what life is like for more than 5,000 men & women in Austin, TX.
In the midst of this suffering and despair, The Bridge of Angels is dedicated to... Feeding the hungry; Healing the hurting; Serving the homeless; Loving the unloved.
Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those who are in physical and spiritual distress. Our hope is to show you the need and give you a reason to respond with arms of love. We cannot carry out this work of compassion alone. We need your help!

This is the Christianity i fell in love with. Nowadays it seems that church is just all about church & there's no connection to that ethos of helping the needy & the Sermon on the Mount. The world & the church have become one... just an institution to keep the poor from choking the rich who own it all and rent it all at exorbitant prices. There is a Nation-wide Persecution of the homeless; a war against the poor. Snobbery of the middle-class ("get them out of MY park, etc.") pukes is icky :(
