This was the Jersey Shore scene in 1975, classic. The clothes, hats, hair, ear rings... all a little bit of Asbury Park, of Freehold, of the Shore.

was at this concert springsteen just seemed to have it all

Little bit of a speed up there, not a big deal. I am not a fan, but this is a terrific rock and roll band and I heard this whole album and this is really the only tune where anything like that happens. The rest of the tunes are played terrific. Im a Springsteen hater pretty much, but the first three records have some things I like, and he had David Sancious early on, who is an absolute monster musican. I hate the later records because in my opinion they wreck Max with awful drum mixes

As for any idea that they rushed anything, remember this was done right after the album came out and they had not played it very many times yet.
Personnally I prefer this version because it is so raw and real.
