morningdovepresley, you are absolutely right. I have always cherished Elvis's version of this song as my fav version. I'm also a fan of The Big O, but hadn't heard his version previously. So after reading your post here, I then subsequently found & listened to Roy's version elsewhere here on youtube. Absolutely wonderful & awesome! So I wanted to come back to this video and thank you for mentioning Roy's version. Elvis and Roy... pure legends... We miss and love you both.

I've owned this Elvis home recorded performance of the Irish song "Danny Boy" on CD for many years. It's such an absolutely perfect performance in every way. "Danny Boy" is such a very beautiful, touching, powerful and emotional song and Elvis easily has the very best renditions of it. Elvis will always be the greatest singer, entertainer and phenomenon and he'll always have the greatest voice and the greatest fans. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Marco.
