Safari, the web browser from Apple, is in its 4th complete version. In this video I explain the new features in this version of Safari. Just a note: I use the Safari 4 Beta, the full version is now out and there is only ONE main difference between the two: The tab bar has been moved back to UNDER the bookmarks bar, in the Beta it was ABOVE.

There are loads of new features including cover flow bookmarks, search of bookmarks, RSS reader, Top Sites (the most viewed sites, editable), cover flow history and history search. Not only that but Safari 4 is officially (proven by myself, PCWizKid, Apple and loads more people all over the world) the world's fastest browser.

  • This is true recently the sites have been opening much faster compared to firefox, or internet explorer or anything else. I'm going to start using this browser. the only concern i have is that it has internet blocking problems and doesnt give you the option to clear your history when u leave safari. Private browser takes time to click and i hate that. I want it to be snappy.

  • Yeah, the same applies to myself, however Chrome does appear to be slightly faster in both loading (itself and pages), and the main UI. You can always clear your history manually if you really wanted to do so, and I think there might be something in the preferences.

  • There wouldn't be... As seen in the video, there is a button, looking like a book. Click it. You should now be in Cover Flow in the library of your bookmarks.

  • Well, first of all, the cover flow can be accessed by clicking the Bookmarks button. Should be simple enough. Secondly, I'm afraid Apple decided they wanted it to be native... No going back I'm afraid.
