  • Done! I think the Poetry Slam involved even more performers at a later date, but I have now uploaded the complete skit from the 40 minute Odeon show.

  • I read milton as butthead on one of my videos, lol...I liked this take on Milton too...

  • saddens me to hear a performer happier to ridicule & an audience happier to laugh at milton than to appreciate it

  • Very well done. I think poetry slams are such an absurd concept. Competitive poetry? You're joking right? Coffeehouse spoken-word/poetry nights were at such a great place, why did they let the Poetry Slams take over? Yeah, it's hip, but it's mostly goofy word sports and really ruined a good scene. Comments?

  • I like this bit, but I wish the whole skit had been included. He goes from John Milton to an urban "slammer." Franken totally lampoons the generic poetry slam guy and it's brilliant. Someone please post that.
