Very well done. I think poetry slams are such an absurd concept. Competitive poetry? You're joking right? Coffeehouse spoken-word/poetry nights were at such a great place, why did they let the Poetry Slams take over? Yeah, it's hip, but it's mostly goofy word sports and really ruined a good scene. Comments?

I like this bit, but I wish the whole skit had been included. He goes from John Milton to an urban "slammer." Franken totally lampoons the generic poetry slam guy and it's brilliant. Someone please post that.
