The commentary in the middle of movie is based on the article of Wikipedia.

Tokubei, a young orphan merchant clerk in Osaka, was so honest and steady that the marchant owner wanted Tokubei to marry his wife's niece.
Tokubei refused the proposal because he'd been love with a courtesan, Ohatsu.
But the owner had had marriage agreements with Tokubei's stepmother, providing her large amounts of money. He demanded Tokubei to give that money back.
Tokubei went to his village and managed to get the money back from his stepmother. After that, he loaned the money to his friend Kuheiji, because Kuheiji said he's going bunkrupt.
But after the due of the debt, Kuheiji denied the existence of the debt. Tokubei realized that he had been perfectly swindled. He tried to attack Kuheiji, but Kuheiji and his followers defeated him, and abused as a swindler.
There's no way to prevent Tokubei and Ohatsu from indignity and parting, except for suicide to live together in another life...

  • "Nam ami dabutz"? Have you never heard of "namu amida butsu" before?

  • Of course I've heard of it. I myself chanted it at my grandfather's funeral. I just thought "Nam ami dabutz" represents the sound more properly.

  • what's nam ami dabutz??? O_O

  • It's Buddism chant. It literally means "I devote myself to you, Amitabha." Amitabha is a Budda of infinite light, who guides souls to the Pure Land(heaven).

  • I should have mentioned; there's a copy of the commentary on the video info. Click "more info" to see the detail of "Sonezaki Shinju", the original screenplay.

  • @KataGatar It said on Anime Lyrics dot Com that it meant 'May Amitabha Buddha have pity.' But you may be right.

  • Cathy :3

  • mp3?

  • I Found this video very easy to masturbate to.

  • @AnimeniaofLight What points did you make that I didn't simply counter?

This is how an argument goes, is it not?

I guess... You can't go on much further. I made sure of it through the points I made.

If you intend to back out, you don't have to put up a troll act.

You might be right that you can't judge music so harshly as I did. But you still look like a failure because of the extra bullshit you added, like the baseless insults and such. And now you're backing out... I'm a bit disappointed.

  • @Dc3n7s I'm just bored, and using valid points on an ass isn't my style. Thanks for entertaining me <3 I don't like to troll often, but when someone is close-minded and simply states something without a thoughtful critique initially, well, it's just so aesthetically challenged. Considering I made several points already, but you discard them in favor to argue, already means you're a lost cause.

Too everyone reading this : love is unconditional, but so is judgement. Take from that what you will.

  • @AnimeniaofLight Also, if you think you can burn me, then go ahead and rather than try, DO so.

I'd advise against it though. You'll get further by making less petty insults on me, and more valid points. It also earns you more respect, even by people like me who entirely disagree with you.

  • @AnimeniaofLight Yeah, calling the song garbage is unfair. Granted. But I think this song would benefit from a human singer.

There are some vocaloid I like, so I'm not entirely biased. I tend to like the music for Vocaloid, and then the singing kicks in and it's like nails to a chalkboard. For me.

Also, calling me an "it" in some attempt to degrade me doesn't bother me much. You know little about me, and therefor your grand judgments on my overall value have little weight.

  • @Dc3n7s about Japanese Culture. The fact that you are narrow sighted and simply take the surface thing and then proceed to call it garbage is quite offensive. yes, you have freedom of speech, but you also have the responsibility of sensibility and common sense. Otherwise, you'll miss a great deal. Like perhaps even being remotely worthy of actually trying to burn rather then just laugh at. Because you are just laughably lamentable. You actually thought I was trying? Sarcasm is awesome, non?

  • @Dc3n7s Hey look it actually has a smeck of intelligence. Thank you for countering all of your former points ^^ Grats, I made you waste about 90% of your brain power ;D But to be serious : if you listen, the voice changes pitches and tones : defined as emotion in human vocabulary. How is emotion transferred? by changes in the pitch and tones of the speaker. Sure, it's a bit drier then a human voice, but very rarely will you find a human singer able to sing something this deep -
