  • OMG! I would rate this as a 5 star but I'd hate to encourage you!!! :S I did the official Bridge Climb and was nervous enough with all the wind and cars down below! Are you the reason why there are so many police guarding the walkways now? Lol!

  • possibly, but I am into peace, not terrorism. it's because of the bogus war on terror, more than anything

  • come up and try the story bridge in brisy... everytime someone climbs it the only way they get down is by jumping... jumping = death

  • yea I lived in Brisbane for awhile. I know the Story Bridge well

sounds like you have to climb it with a parachute on lol

  • Thats nuts...i did the climb ysterday an my guide told me bout this video... i found it fuckin scary with a harness an all the safety gear....your insane...did you have any sort of safety harness?

  • no safetylines or harness. I simply love walking skinny objects at heights, from my years as a scaffolder and stuntman, making it like second nature

haha thanks mate! yeah, the panties is a nice touch but I can guarantee you we didn't find any girls stupid enough to join us that night....just a lonely trolley in need of some love and lotsa beers....LOL!

  • @CedricAmoyal1

Brilliant stuff, your story will live on with us all knowing it really did happen! The Climb Leaders who tell your story spice it up at the end. They say that when the trolley was found the next day there was a pair of ladies undies sitting on top of the beer cans? Maybe that's a myth BUT that story is priceless & wouldn't happen nowadays with security & cameras everywhere so it's HISTORY MAKING! I looked up at the Bridge many times as teenager BUT never had courage to Climb it!

  • @edsta75

a shopping trolley onto the bridge from the city (big nigth out needless to say). The trickiest part was swinging the trolley around the spikes at the bottom, but after that it was pretty easy going. It's amazing what you can do with you're fueled by lotsa beer! LOL...the only other noteworthy thing was that one of the boys (who shall remain nameless) actually thought it would be funny to do push-ups across the gap between the beams...so he was looking straight down to the road below!

I'm not sure how many details I should give you (just in case I incriminite myself or any of the other guys), but i think the statute of limitations os 20 years, so we should be OK.....LOL! Truth be told, there's not a whole bunch to say...A group of 6 of us from North Sydney Boys High School (class of 1990) decided it would be a good idea to climb the bridge (a couple of us knew some Barker guys who had done it a few weeks before). So one Sat night, we wheeled...(cont)

  • @CedricAmoyal1 No way... I've always wondered about this tale? I've told it a thousand times when leading groups up on a BridgeClimb! It's a cracking story & the reaction on peoples face when they hear it is priceless. Can you give any more details so BridgeClimb Climb Leaders can expand on this quality story?

  • Absolutely nuts... I work as a Climb Leader at BridgeClimb & have seen this a few times! Every time I Climb I think how incredibly dangerous this is to do... unattached & crossing the beams!

  • @jaswahn

....Actually the shopping trolley full of beers was 6 of us North Sydney Boys High School Students. We did that stunt back in 1989 (long before they opened up the climb to the public)! I heard that they now mention the "shopping trolley" story to everyone who climbs the bridge nowadays, so i guess we're all famous now, eh....!?! LOL
