2009 Health Mela.
This is an annual event, hosted at the GHS Centre in Preston and organised by the Lancashire Gujarat Health Users' Forum. The GHS Health Mela has become nationally recognised as a model of best practice for health professionals wishing to engage with BME communities. It has been applauded by health representatives from central government, the Department of Health, the Healthcare Commission, NHS Trusts and many other professional organisations.
The Lancashire Gujarat Health Users' Forum is based at the Gujarat Hindu Society in Preston (a registered charity) and is supported by Preston Primary Care Trust.
