He mastered his own body, but the thing is mastering the gorge, understanding how the granite was formed and the uplift that created the boulders that fall into the gorge, and the plants and animals that have evolved to live there. If you can't identify the scarlet monkeyflower then no highwire stunt can save you.
@Ydoc101lol yeah... i tought it was cold as well. I dont have any idea about how much it will be.. cause in february where i live (northeast brazil), the water temperature is around 28 degrees celsius. But ok thanks a lot! I've never been in california before and i'll do the roadtrip from San francisco until L.A., actually i'm still looking about where is the best place to take a rest and enjoy the day, i've been thinking about carmel and big sur, what do u recomend? thanks!
@duquenuke In February it's far too cold to swim in for the average person. Even in the late summer on a hot day the water is freezing and takes a while to get use to before you can swim comfortably.
I use to go here every year but was never old enough to go up there. The last time I went was 10 years old. Went there a total of 12 times in my life. I was hoping to go back soon now that I'm older but it's completely ruined from the fires apparently and won't be like this for another 10 years or so.. makes me really sad. :(
