Brilliant commercial. Car is admired by the officer, car door gets opened, officer gets in and loves the car. TV viewers are interested and would also like to sit in the car. TV viewer goes to the dealer. Admires car and gets in the car. Next thing you know, the car is sold! Commercial does it's job to get people interested to sit in the car.
This shows why todays ad agencies who make todays car commercials are clueless.

@GenericGene I know this is way late in responding but I just read it. Chryslers and Imperials for model year 1957, both double and quad headlights were available. The customer had a choice. Also, quads were not yet legal in all the states, 48 at the time.

@RobDog65 You know detroit really has nothing to do with Obama right? Detroit failed because americans can't make a good car anymore. Case in point, the Buick LaCrosse vs Buick Regal. Just feel the door handle, LaCrosse is built ion the US, the Regal in Germany. The Regal has a very solid feel, LaCrosse, not so much.
