I ended up redoing all the subclips anyway, btw the sliders are actually for going through the video frame by frame.

I know that Final Cut has these two sliders under the preview clip, which allows you to crop the video. You see that white bar right under the preview video, and above the play controls? Those two arrow looking things. Can you move those? The left on to the left side, and the right on to the right side?
